iPeople Solutions is currently recruiting Project Managers to work for our client based in London and surrounding areas.

The post holder will provide project management expertise in the capacity of Subject Matter Expert to support the setup of the Digital and Innovation Service.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to

  • Support the delivery of the Digital & Innovation Workstream – organising, directing and motivating individuals to ensure the successful delivery of a range of projects.
  • Undertake full project management duties as required, including the production of high-quality documentation within the specified constraints of time and cost. This will include (but is not exclusive to):
    • Project Initiation Documents
    • Project plans
    • Stage assessments
    • Progress/exception reports
  • Own the development of Business Cases considering the costs and financial benefits associated with services.
  • Ensure the project produces a result that can achieve the benefits defined in that documentation.
  • Manage business and project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Understand when delegated decision making is required and take responsibility for change controls, assuring the overall direction and integrity of the project is maintained.
  • Maintain and manage stakeholder relationships; establishing and promoting the meeting of stakeholder objectives, undertaking reporting as required, and where necessary providing an arbitration function.
  • Manage projects which you are not directly accountable for, taking responsibility for their accurate scoping, resourcing, reporting and delivery.
  • Lead procurement activity where required.

Requirement

  • Extensive experience of multi-disciplinary project development and delivery within a political environment
  • Local Authority experience highly desirable especially around design and delivery of new digital solutions and services
  • Experience of maintaining partnerships and productive working relationships.
  • Experience managing project resources and resources from different background and environments (matrix management).
  • Experience of managing budgets successfully and strong business planning sills.
  • Experience in financial planning and management and its application to projects.
  • Knowledge and practical application of the Government Service Standards, Government Accessibility Regulations and Information Governance principles.
  • Outstanding scoping, planning and project management skills: the ability to take a fresh perspective and look to the future at the same time as driving through existing work streams.
  • Experience of managing change or organisational change successfully.

Working hours: 09.00-17.00, Monday- Friday
